Family: The Daiquiri Family
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Light Rum
- 1.5 oz Mango Nectar (or smooth mango purée)
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.25 oz Honey Syrup (one-to-one honey and warm water)
- 6-8 Fresh Mint Leaves
- Top Club Soda
How to make a Mango Mojito
- Add fresh lime juice, honey syrup and mint to a Collins glass. Press gently until the mint is aromatic and the honey syrup is dissolved.
- Add light rum and mango nectar, then stir briefly so the fruit is evenly distributed.
- Fill the glass with ice, top with club soda and gently lift once from the bottom to combine.
- Garnish with a mint sprig, lime wheel and a thin mango slice, then serve immediately.
Garnish
Mint sprig, lime wheel and a thin slice of ripe mango.
Pro tip
Mango nectar varies in sweetness, so use honey syrup sparingly and let lime do the balancing. Stir the mango and rum before adding ice to prevent the fruit from settling at the bottom.
History of the Mango Mojito
Mango Mojito is a contemporary fruit-forward Mojito that preserves the light-rum, mint, lime and soda structure while bringing mango's mellow tropical sweetness into the glass. It is built rather than shaken, keeping the bubbles and mint aroma bright.
