- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
- 8-10 Fresh Mint Leaves
- Top Club Soda
How to make a Dark Mojito
- Gently press the mint with the simple syrup in a highball glass.
- Add the lime juice and white rum, then fill the glass with crushed ice.
- Top with club soda and stir gently without bruising the mint.
- Float the dark rum over the back of a spoon so it rests on top of the drink.
- Garnish with mint and lime, then serve immediately.
Garnish
Mint bouquet, lime wheel and a dark-rum float.
Pro tip
Choose a dark rum with caramel and spice rather than an aggressively smoky style. The float should add aroma and depth without overpowering the mint.
