Ingredients
- 2 oz Light Rum
- 4 oz Guava Juice (chilled, preferably pink guava)
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- 10-12 Fresh Mint Leaves
- Top Lime Seltzer or Club Soda
How to make a Guava Mojito
- Add mint, light rum, fresh lime juice and simple syrup to a Collins glass. Press gently for 15 to 20 seconds until the mint is wilted but not shredded.
- Pour in chilled guava juice and stir until the sweetener and rum are evenly combined.
- Fill the glass with ice, top with lime seltzer or club soda and stir once gently from the bottom.
- Garnish with a full mint sprig and lime wedges, then serve immediately while the drink is bubbly.
Garnish
Mint sprig and lime wedges.
Pro tip
Guava juice is naturally sweet and full-bodied, so do not over-muddle the mint or over-sweeten the drink. Build the base ahead if needed, but add fresh mint, ice and seltzer just before service.
History of the Guava Mojito
Guava Mojito is a modern tropical interpretation of the classic Mojito. It keeps the original's light rum, lime, mint and sparkling finish but uses guava juice for a juicy floral note that works especially well with crisp white rum.
