- 0.75 oz Fresh Orange Juice
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.25 oz Demerara Syrup (2:1)
How to make a Blood and Sand 2.0
- Add the smoky whiskey, Cherry Heering, Punt e Mes, orange juice, lemon juice and demerara syrup to a shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until chilled and lightly aerated.
- Strain into a chilled rocks glass over one large ice cube and serve without garnish.
Garnish
None.
Pro tip
The added lemon and dark demerara are structural, not decorative: they temper the smoke and keep the drink from reading like sweet orange juice.
