Ingredients
- 1 oz Ancho Chile Liqueur
- 1 oz Bourbon
- 0.25 oz Rich Simple Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
How to make a Ancho Old Fashioned
- Add Ancho chile liqueur, bourbon, rich simple syrup, Angostura and orange bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until very cold and evenly diluted.
- Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.
- Express an orange peel over the drink.
- Place the peel in the glass and serve.

Pro tip
Ancho liqueur is sweet as well as spicy, so keep the rich syrup measured. You should taste the bourbon first, followed by dried-chile warmth.
