Ingredients
- 2 oz Gin
- 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice
- 0.75 oz Simple syrup
- 6 to 8 Fresh mint leaves
- 2 oz Club soda
How to make a Southside Fizz
- Gently muddle fresh mint leaves with simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Add gin and fresh lime juice to the shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled highball glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with club soda and stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a lemon wheel.

History of the Southside Fizz
Originating in Chicago during the prohibition era, the Southside was supposedly favored by Al Capone's gang, while the fizz variation adds effervescence for an exceptionally crisp finish.
