History of the Prince of Wales
Originally attributed to Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, who later became King Edward VII during the late nineteenth century, this opulent drink merged American whiskey tastes with European sparkling wine traditions. It first appeared in printed bartender guides during the 1890s as a symbol of aristocratic indulgence.
