Pegu Club recipe

Ingredients
- 2 oz London Dry Gin
- 3/4 oz Orange Curaçao
- 3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
How to make a Pegu Club
- Chill a coupe glass.
- Add gin, curaçao, lime juice, and both bitters to a shaker with ice.
- Shake hard for 12 seconds.
- Fine strain into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lime twist.

Pro tip
Use a dry curaçao or Cointreau. Sweeter triple sec will flatten the gin and make the drink too candy-like.
History of the Pegu Club
The Pegu Club originated at the Pegu Club in Rangoon, Burma, during the British colonial period. It was one of the most respected gin drinks of the early twentieth century.
