The Papa Doble is unusually large and dry. Make it as one drink only when you want the full-strength version; otherwise divide the shaken mixture between two chilled coupes.
History of the Papa Doble
Papa Doble is the name commonly associated with the larger, drier Hemingway-style Daiquiri served at El Floridita in Havana. Modern recipes vary, so the defining ideas here are the extra rum, grapefruit and restrained sweetness rather than one universally fixed formula.
