Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Mezcal
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 0.75 oz Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
- 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
How to make a Oaxacan Boulevardier
- Add mezcal, sweet vermouth, Ancho Reyes and chocolate bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir for 25-30 seconds until chilled.
- Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- Express orange oil over the surface and garnish.
Garnish
Orange peel and a tiny pinch of smoked salt, optional.
Pro tip
Ancho Reyes is sweet as well as spicy. Keep the vermouth fresh and avoid adding extra syrup; chocolate bitters are enough to round the chile.
