Pro tip
The prosecco goes in last and you don't shake it — you want those bubbles intact. Use a decent prosecco, not the cheapest bottle. The carbonation lifts the bitter Campari and makes this dangerously drinkable.
History of the Negroni Sbagliato
Created by accident at Bar Basso in Milan in 1972. Bartender Mirko Stocchetto reached for prosecco instead of gin while making a Negroni. The 'sbagliato' (Italian for 'mistaken') was born and became a permanent menu item. It went viral in 2022 after a celebrity interview.
