Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Elderflower liqueur
- 4 oz Prosecco (chilled)
- 2 oz Club soda
- 6-8 Fresh mint leaves
- 1 Lime wheel (for garnish)
How to make a Hugo Spritz
- Gently press fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a wine glass to release their aromatic oils.
- Fill the glass generously with ice cubes.
- Pour in the elderflower liqueur and chilled Prosecco.
- Top with club soda and stir gently from bottom to top to combine.
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a lime wheel.

History of the Hugo Spritz
Created in 2005 by bartender Roland Gruber in Naturno, South Tyrol, Italy, as an aromatic alternative to the traditional Aperol Spritz. Modern bartenders still keep Hugo Spritz in circulation because the recipe shows a clear point of view without needless decoration.
