Ingredients
- 1 oz Galliano
- 1 oz Orange Curaçao
- 1 oz Heavy Cream
- 1/2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
How to make a Golden Dream
- Chill a coupe glass.
- Add Galliano, curaçao, cream, and orange juice to a shaker with ice.
- Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds.
- Double strain into the chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a thin strip of orange zest.
Garnish
Orange zest.
Pro tip
Fresh orange juice is essential here. Bottled juice makes the drink taste dull and can fight the cream.
History of the Golden Dream
The Golden Dream was created by Raimundo Alvarez at the Old King Bar in Miami in the 1960s. It became a competition favorite because it balances citrus, vanilla-like Galliano notes, and cream without becoming heavy.
