Glass: Rocks glass ·
Time: 2 min ·
Difficulty: Beginner ·
Family: The Old Fashioned Family
Ingredients
- 2 oz Vodka
- 1/2 oz Amaretto
How to make a Godmother
- Fill a rocks glass with one large cube or several fresh cubes.
- Add vodka and amaretto.
- Stir briefly until chilled.
- Garnish with lemon peel or a cherry if desired.
- Serve before the ice has had time to soften the flavor.
Garnish
Lemon peel or brandied cherry, optional.
Pro tip
A fuller-bodied vodka makes a better Godmother than an aggressively neutral one. The drink needs a little texture to carry the amaretto.
