History of the El Diablo
First appeared in Trader Vic's 1946 'Book of Food and Drink.' Despite being created during the tiki era, it's not really a tiki drink — it's a refreshing highball that showcases tequila's versatility with fruit and spice.
Flavour profile
Fruity, Spicy, Tart, Refreshing
Variations
- Diablo Rojo — Add muddled jalapeno for extra heat
- El Diablo Mezcal — Use mezcal for a smoky version
