Difficulty: Intermediate ·
Family: The Martini Family
Ingredients
- 2.5 oz London Dry Gin
- 0.75 oz Vodka
- 0.5 oz Lillet Blanc
- 0.25 oz Olive Brine
How to make a Dirty Vesper
- Chill a coupe or Nick and Nora glass.
- Add gin, vodka, Lillet Blanc and olive brine to a shaker with ice.
- Shake firmly for 12-15 seconds.
- Double strain into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with lemon oil and an olive.
Garnish
Lemon twist and one good green olive.
Pro tip
Use clean, cold olive brine and measure it. Too much turns the Vesper's citrus-botanical structure murky and saline.
History of the Dirty Vesper
The Dirty Vesper is a contemporary crossover between Fleming's powerful gin-and-vodka aperitif and the savory Dirty Martini.
