Pro tip
The trick to a great frozen daiquiri is the ratio of ice to liquid. Too much ice = watery slush. Too little = chunky mess. One cup of ice to 3.75 oz of liquid is the sweet spot. Blend until completely smooth.
History of the Frozen Daiquiri
Constantino Ribalaigua Vert at El Floridita in Havana perfected the frozen daiquiri in the 1930s using an electric blender. Hemingway was a regular, drinking 12-15 in a single sitting (his version had no sugar and double rum).
