- 0.75 oz Vodka
- 0.75 oz Light Rum
- 0.5 oz Blue Curaçao
- 3 oz Pineapple Juice
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
How to make a Blue Hawaii
- Fill a highball or hurricane glass with fresh ice.
- Add vodka, rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice and lemon juice to a shaker with ice.
- Shake hard for 10–12 seconds until very cold.
- Strain over the prepared ice.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry.

Pro tip
Use fresh lemon juice to keep the pineapple and blue curaçao from reading overly sweet; the drink should be bright, not syrupy.
History of the Blue Hawaii
Blue Hawaii was created by Harry Yee at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki in the early 1960s. It is the shaken, vodka-and-rum cousin of the creamier blended Blue Hawaiian.
